Consumption, by its very nature, is a cultural act. Culture is the governing operating system for communities. Naturally, the relationship between the three (culture, consumption, and communities) should be of great importance for marketers who aim to forge meaningful consumer relationships. And that's exactly why I created the show "C3," a web-based video series that investigates cultural consumption through the lens of the community. Every episode, my cohost (Olivia Roth) and I will explore a new community (from sneakerheads to comic book junkies and everything in between) with a member of the community to learn the ins & outs of their culture and consumption habits.
